How to use it
- 1
Configure the offer
Settings → Referrals. The two levers are the refer-bonus (what the existing member gets) and the welcome offer (what the new diner gets). Typical: AED 25 off for new, AED 50 credit for the referrer when the new diner spends > AED 100. - 2
Surface codes everywhere
Each loyalty member auto-gets a referral code. It shows up in their post-visit email, in their account on the public page, and on their loyalty card. Make it easy to share — include a pre-filled WhatsApp/SMS button. - 3
Attribution
When a new diner uses a code at booking or QR checkout, attribution sticks for 30 days. The referrer earns when the new diner's first qualifying visit completes — not just when they sign up. - 4
Read the leaderboard
The page ranks top advocates by code uses + conversion. Reach out personally to the top 5 — a thank-you note often turns them into a long-term ambassador.
Gotchas & tips
Self-referral is blocked (same email / same phone), but be alert to soft cases (housemates with separate emails). Set a reasonable cap on referrer earnings per month.
If the welcome offer is too aggressive (e.g. 50% off first visit), you attract bargain-hunters who never come back. Keep the new-diner offer modest; reward retention with the loyalty program.
