Inventory
Track stock by SKU with recipe-linked auto-deduction, low-stock alerts, and a waste log that drops stock when you record it. The most-loved feature on the platform — once you wire recipes, every order silently keeps your bin counts honest.

How to use it
- 1
Import or add your SKUs
Open Inventory → + Item. For each ingredient set unit (kg, ml, units), current stock, par level (the minimum you want on hand), and supplier. Or import a CSV — there's a template button up top. - 2
Link items to recipes
Under Tools → Recipe Costing, attach each menu item to the ingredients it uses with quantities. From now on, every order that fires deducts those quantities — see the live drops in this view as orders come in. - 3
Set par levels and reorder points
Par level is your floor. When stock dips below, a low-stock alert fires and Procurement queues a draft PO. Tune par per SKU based on lead time — fast-spoiling items want a tight par, dry goods can run lower. - 4
Log waste with a days filter
When something spoils or breaks, hit Log Waste, pick the SKU and reason. Stock deducts in the same atomic write, so the count stays honest. Filter the Waste Log to last 7 / 30 / 90 days to spot patterns.
Gotchas & tips
Recipes use exact units. If a dish uses 30g of an ingredient stored in kg, you set quantity 0.03 kg — not 30. Mismatch = silent over/under-deduction.
Free + Starter tiers don't include Inventory. Wire a tier upgrade when the cost of a manual stocktake outpaces the upgrade fee.
