Menu Settings
Menu Settings is where you tell Dynabite when things are on offer — breakfast vs. dinner menus, happy hour pricing, weekend brunch, and per-item prep times for accurate ETAs. The Menu page handles the what; this page handles the rules.

How to use it
- 1
Define your day-parts
Day-parts are time windows like Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner. Add one for each natural service period. Items can be assigned to one or many — the public menu and QR cart only show items whose day-part is active right now. - 2
Set per-item availability rules
Open any item and add an Availability rule: Lunch + Dinner only, Sundays 09:00 – 14:00, Friday + Saturday after 17:00. Rules combine with the “Out of stock” toggle from the Menu page. - 3
Configure happy-hour pricing
Add an Availability rule with a price delta — e.g. 17:00 – 19:00 weekdays · −20%. The discount is applied at checkout for QR orders and shows up as a separate line on the receipt so diners trust the price. - 4
Tune prep times for accurate ETAs
Each item has a prep-time field (default 15 min). The Kitchen Display uses this to colour-code tickets, and the QR Pay & Order ETA promise on the cart is the max prep-time across the order minus what's already in the queue.
Gotchas & tips
An item in two day-parts that overlap will appear during both — that's the intent. If you want it only at brunch, leave it in only the brunch day-part.
Tax rules live under Settings → Tax, not here. Per-item tax overrides (e.g. a 0% line for tax-exempt items) live there, then surface on the receipt automatically.
