Pay & Order (QR)

Pay & Order turns every table into a self-checkout. Diners scan the QR sticker, the menu opens in their browser (no app install), they order, and they tap to pay. The ticket fires to the kitchen and the table's tab shows up here in real time. Available on every tier from day one.

How to use it

Generate a QR per table
Open Pay & Order → QR codes and tap Generate. Each active table on your floor plan gets its own code that encodes the table ID. Print them on stickers / tent cards.

Set tipping and service charge
Under Pay & Order → Settings, choose default tip presets (10 / 15 / 20%), service charge (off / on at X%), and whether the diner can split the bill. These show up on the diner's checkout step.

Connect Stripe Connect for payouts
QR payments route through Stripe Connect to your account directly. Open Wallet → Connect once and follow the Stripe verification flow — five minutes for most countries. Until that's green, QR will accept orders but not money.

Watch live tabs come in
Once a diner orders, their table appears here as a live tab. Statuses cascade from Order placed → In kitchen → Served → Paid → Tip applied. Servers can intervene from this view (add a dish, comp an item, swap a card).

Gotchas & tips

The QR code only works if the table is on the floor plan AND active. If you delete a table, regenerate the QR — old stickers will land on a 404 with a friendly “ask your server” message.

Per-transaction fee depends on tier — Free 10%, Starter 8%, Growth 6%, Pro 5%. Net amount lands in your Stripe Connect account; the platform fee is taken at the point of sale, not reconciled later.
