Deposits
No-show capture and pre-authed bookings. For larger parties, peak nights, or repeat no-shows, require a card on file at booking. If they don't show, the platform captures the deposit automatically.

How to use it
- 1
Configure rules
Settings → Reservations → Deposits. Rules look like: “Parties of 6+ require AED 50/head”, “Friday + Saturday after 19:00 require deposit”, “Repeat no-show flag triggers deposit”. Combine as needed. - 2
Booking flow
When a rule matches, the booking form requires a card. Stripe authorises (no charge yet) and the booking confirms. The card is stored as a token, not raw — fully PCI-compliant. - 3
No-show capture
If the booking is marked No-show, the deposit captures automatically per the rule (full or partial). Receipts go to the guest with a brief explanation. Manual override available with a reason field for audits. - 4
Cancellations
Define a cancellation window (e.g. cancel up to 24h prior, no charge). Outside the window, the rule's cancellation fee captures. Communicate it on the booking form so guests know.
Gotchas & tips
Stripe Connect must be live for deposits — check Wallet → Connect status. Without it, rules can be saved but not enforced.
Capturing a deposit is a public-facing action. Be sure the no-show is real (look at the floor plan history) — refund disputes erode trust fast.
